Recommended Walks and Beaches to Visit

Preseli Hills. There are many wonderful and exhilarating walks on the Preseli Hills offering an abundance of ponies and spectacular views in every direction.

Dinas Head The coastal walk around Dinas Head is a favourite walk especially when the bluebells are in abundance. A must!

Pwllgwallod and Cwm-yr-eglwys The walk between these two bays makes a lovely level walk. Approximately 15 minutes each way.

Bridge to Parrog and beyond The footpath on the town side of the bridge along the estuary takes you to Parrog where you can continue onwards along the waters edge and up over the cliff tops along the coastal path. If you prefer, you can take the left turn at Parrog, back into Newport.

Berry Hill Farm to Nevern A very favourite and special walk is along the footpath adjoining Berry Hill Farm (leaving Newport Sands, heading towards Newport, Berry Hill is the farm on the left hand side just before the estuary bridge) The walk is especially pretty, along the winding river and up over the fields to Nevern. Nevern is a picturesque riverside setting with the church of St. Brynach which is well worth a visit Website There is also a local pub.

Newport Bay, Cym-yr-eglwys, Pwllgwallod, Mwnt close to Cardigan where dolphins may be found in the bay and Ceibwr Bay are all lovely beaches to visit.

Beaches to visit Newport Sands, Ceibwr Bay, Pwllgwallod, Cwm-yr-eglwys, and Whitesands Beach St. Davids. Pembrokeshire has some of the best beaches in Britain. Beaches.
